Their dads met long before this wedding day. After meeting years ago at dads day at the University of Illinois, Elizabeth and John finally began dating after both of their dads, separately, mentioned how they should date the other. Dads may know best, and in this case, they sure did. After marrying at Christ Church of Oak Brook, Elizabeth and John took to the Hyatt Lodge on McDonald's campus to celebrate their new life together.
Happy Thanksgiving! My last fall family portrait session in Chicago was last weekend! The trees were hanging on for one last hurrah. Smells of Blommer Chocolate gracefully glided through the air and was inviting . . . for the first 5 minutes. I'm not sure if neighbors love it, hate it, or just get used to it.
One of the things I love about the city is being able to walk out the front door and find some awesome spots to take photos within half of a block. Some of the favorites of family, big sis and little sis below.
This was pretty much one of the most beautiful fall days for Stephanie and Richard's wedding at A New Leaf in Old Town. Days like this remind me how great Chicago is. A New Leaf did an AMAZING job on the floral designs. The succulent on the front of Stephanie's bouquet was perfect. After prepping at Hotel Lincoln we traipsed through Old Town and Lincoln Park, even stopping for ice cream along the way.
